Research is high on the agenda in The Media School and we have an international reputation for delivering high quality funded research projects and publishing in leading national and international journals.
The research we conduct is often crucial to developing new policies and approaches for commercial and non-commercial organisations. Research findings also influence course/teaching content, ensuring programmes are up to date and relevant to today's global businesses.
Our research ranges from developing animated software to train surgeons, digitising and cataloguing vital radio news archives, conducting content analyses of services and programmes for the BBC Trust and investigating exploitation and TV format protection strategies for some of the biggest independent production companies.
